An Apprenticeship in Playwork focuses on the skills that are essential to all play environments; including out-of-school clubs, playschemes, playgrounds etc.
The Playworks Apprenticeship is ultimately highly rewarding but in order to succeed you need to be patient with a desire to make a positive impact within a play environment.
What can I expect to do as a Playwork Apprentice?
The Playwork Apprenticeship will be tailor made to meet the requirements of the facility in which you work and the day-to-day responsibilities will be varied but will cover the main units of the Apprenticeship which include; supporting children and young people’s play, contributing to the work of your team, dealing with accidents and emergencies and contributing to the health and safety of the play environment.
